Laura Hasson
CEO
Laura has worked in the industry for 20 years. Her area of expertise is in collections, she believes you "should do what you love" and she does exactly that. Working alongside the collectors- she is warmly referred to as the “pit boss” and is a firm believer in team work, with a “no walls, no barriers” concept. In this type of setting the team is able to bounce ideas off of each other as well collaborate on changes, and trends. Her favorite quote is:

Todd joined Laura 2 months after opening Substance Solutions in 2008. He began in utilization review. Servicing one small facility in Delray, he taught himself ASAM criteria, DSM-4 and the nuances of persuading care managers to authorize Detox, PHP and IOP for his clients. Todd added verifying insurance benefits for additional treatment centers to his repertoire a few months later. He took benefit verification a step further and implemented insurance company specific allowables into the equation of how insurances will likely pay for courses of treatment.He works with his clients on compliance for insurance requirements and communicating the variable trends of payor reimbursement.
